This photograph is one of the favourite that I took, the expression on her face/ the smile, adds a sort emotion to

the image, which i was intending to do. The image is aslso a clamshell image, which is one of my favourite type of

potraits to do. The strongest part of this image that i find is the expression on the face of the subject; it adds a sort

of chaterictic to the photograph. The weakest part of the image that i found was my editing process.

I believe that this image was taken during the contrast/diffusion photo shoot. During this image, i was unaware of how to set up the lighting

for the experiement, but when i found out how to, it became easier to create the images i wanted to. The strongest part of the image is the subject,

because the soft lighting adds a sort of flawlessness. The weaskest part of the image is how the eyes are not as in focus as i woulve liked.

This was also an example of the split lighting photo shoot. I really like this image because of the subjects eyes. Black and white images

are kinda of formal, and that is what i believe the theme of the photograph is; formal. One change that I over came in this image was

that before hand, i was unaware of how to blur acne on the face, but after i did find out how to properly edit the image, i found it to

be rather easy. One special technique i used during the editing process, was one of my first time doing this, was editing with a layer

mask. And i have to say, for one of my first times, i did an okay job. The strongest part of the image is how the focus of the image is

played out. Her eyes are one of the strongest points.  One the the weakest parts of the image is the non-existent smile on my subjects face!

This was shot using the clamshell set up. I included this image because i found that he was a strong choice for black and white potraits.

The clamshell set up adds a flaw-free complexion to my subject, which i also like. the use of black and white shading, adds a sort of formality

to the image as well. The strongest portion of the photograph is the contrast between the subjects face and the subjects eyes, i believe that

the contrast allows the eyes to stand out more. The weaskest portion of the image is the use of the backdrop, maybe using a darker background

would add a sort of contrast against the subjects face as well.

This potrait was taken during the contrast and diffusion assignement. I believe that this image is contrast and hard light?

 This wasn’t my favourite assignment, but i thought this image came out okay; his eyes are in focus, and he has a small smile on

his face. I used a light source to the left of his face, absent of an umbrella or a reflective advice, to darken the right side of his

face and to add a hard light of contrast between the light and the dark. I believe that the strongest part of the image has to do with

the eyes of my subject. I like how they are in focus, and you can see the small glare of the light.  I believe that was editing skills

are not the strongest, therefore that is the weakest part of the image.

My theme is black and white potrait, in which i took various potraits i took previously, and converted the

 images to black and white. In this specific image, my subject is my sister Amber. Her expression in the potograph

adds a sort of questionability to the image. This original potrait was used as a ‘split lighting’ potrait, and I did have

difficulties setting up the set to take the original photo. The strongest portion of the image is the composition regarding

rule of thirds, the weakest part of the image, or image process, was the editing portion. I was unable to remove minor

flaws on Amber’s face.
